Flein from the
steep slopes of Alto Adige

In the south of Alto Adige, where vines cling to the hillsides from 200 to 900 meters above sea level and both sunshine and mountain air shape their character — Kellerei Kurtatsch is at home. Here, a young team brings the diversity of the terroir into the glass — from bold reds grown in the warm valley to elegant whites from the cooler high-altitude sites. Since 2021, grapes for Flein have also been grown here, adding an alcohol-free expression to the range. Harald Cronst brought the idea with him, sparked enthusiasm, and made Flein a permanent part of the portfolio.
A visit is well worth it: in the new vinotheque, both wine and Flein can be enjoyed with spectacular views. Or discover the winery on a guided tour from the highest sites down into the valley — with tastings right at the source.
Harald Cronst is responsible for Flein at Cantina Kurtatsch.
Around Kurtatsch, the landscape is shaped by high mountains, steep vineyards, cypress trees, and wide valleys filled with orchards. The region has an incredible amount to offer, both from a scenic and a culinary perspective, combining alpine freshness with the Italian way of life. Each season reveals its own beautiful side here.
