Flein can be Sauvignon Blanc, Gelber Muskateller, Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch, Cabernet Sauvignon or Vernatsch — naturally alcohol-free and without dealcoholisation. Crafted with the same care and respect as the finest wines, these varietal juices offer purity, elegance, and real culinary ambition.
VARIETAL CHARACTER, NO ALCOHOL
Flein was born in 2018 from a simple question Nika Mitteregger asked together with her winemaking family, the Gross family in South Styria: Is it possible to produce grape juice with the same respect and care as wine?
Friends from university gradually joined the idea, and today three wineries in three European regions produce Flein. Together they have become pioneers of grape juice as an alternative to wine. And the best part? Thanks to Flein, the friends now have even more reasons to see each other regularly.
THE FLEIN WINERIES
Flein is produced by Maria and Michael Gross in Austria, Harald Cronst of Cantina Kurtatsch in Italy, and Sebastian Schmidt of Schmidt am Bodensee in Germany. Alongside their long-standing friendship, they share a common mindset.
In their own quality charter, they define how Flein is made: from hand-picked grapes, gently pressed following the example of Champagne, and bottled cold with gentle pasteurisation. The grapes grow in organically farmed “Flein gardens”, created specifically for this purpose and cultivated expressly for juice — not as a by-product of winemaking.
FROM IDEA TO DIVERSITY
The range currently includes eleven products, from single-varietal to sparkling grape juices. Each stands on its own, defined by freshness and a well-balanced interplay of sweetness and acidity.
